Community Accountancy Project
The Community Accountancy Project is open to all Voluntary and Community groups. The project focuses on the following areas:
- Year-end Independent Examinations of accounts for organisations with income up to £250 000.
- Support in reviewing any aspect of an organisations financial system, and making recommendations for changes where necessary.
- Help with setting up and maintaining accounting systems both manual and computerised systems.
- Help with establishing good financial management and planning.
- Ensuring that proper financial procedures are in place, suitable for the organisation and complying with all legal requirements.
- Training – running group courses, one to one training, workshops.
- We work closely with various groups giving them one to one training in book keeping, enabling them to keep their books in a comprehensive and coherent way, setting them up with a reliable petty cash system and assisting with implementation of financial procedures.
- We deliver financial management training to members of Management Committees of various voluntary and community groups.
- Groups we have worked with have been extremely grateful for the given to them. Prior to our support and advice many of them were unaware of what was required of them.
To quote but few “VAC gives wonderful & useful support”, another simply stated “more please” and “Thanks for all your help, you have been a great support.”
