Quality Assurance

Voluntary and community organisations are increasingly aware that they must be able to demonstrate clearly that they meet certain recognised quality standards – for instance to their customers, to local commissioners and funders.

VAC now offers quarterly “Quality Assurance” surgeries looking at issues such as how to address quality assurance within an organisation, how to develop a quality assurance policy or framework, and the potential usefulness of some of the quality marks that might be recognised by funders and commissioners (eg. PQASSO, NAVCA, Matrix, VISIBLE and IIP).

Following on from the surgeries, trained VAC staff are available on a consultancy basis to support groups to implement quality assurance policies and/or work towards achieving an appropriate quality mark.

Visit our Training Page for information on forthcoming surgery sessions.  You can also check any of the following websites for more information on the quality marks available to the voluntary and community sector:

‘I’ve really appreciated the follow-up support … it gave me the chance to ask questions and think things through in a bit more detail.’

‘Our policies and procedures are much better, up-to-date and relevant.’

‘It consolidated what I knew already and added new aspects I hadn’t come across before in a clear manner … most helpful … an excellent session.’
