An important part of our work is helping organisations plan their fundraising in a more effective and strategic way, for instance through:

We offer training and one-to-one advice on ‘Developing Fundraising Strategies’ and preparing fundraising plans, and training targeted at Trustees, who often have the lead responsibility for ensuring that their organisation is taking a longer-term view of its funding options; that it is able to anticipate funding challenges and maximise funding opportunities. Fundraising health checks
We can offer groups a confidential fundraising ‘health check’, where we look at their current fundraising profile, help them identify the strengths and weaknesses of their current strategy, and support them to action plan to strengthen their funding base for the future. If you prefer to run your own health check, there is a new online tool now available (developed in partnership with the National Institute of Fundraising) that can help groups run their own confidential fundraising health check. Sustainable funding advice
Pressure has increased on voluntary and community organisations to take a more strategic approach to funding, and to diversify their funding base where this might contribute to longer-term sustainability. Our advice, support and training now regularly covers issues such as diversification (eg. looking at donations and trading options); dealing with the recession; social enterprise development; and other relevant topics. We also offer training in Contract and Commissioning – supporting groups to be better able to tender for public service contracts.
