Fundraising Skills
We offer different types of support to help staff, volunteers and trustees of local groups improve their skills in fundraising. These include:
Fundraising training and workshops
Funding surgeries (one-to-one support)
Access to fundraising resources and tools
Fundraising training and workshops
Our fundraising training covers many different aspects of fundraising and one of our main aims is to help you improve your success rates when making funding applications. Whether you’re a complete novice without much experience of fundraising, or someone who has been fundraising for some time but would just like to refresh or update your skills, we have the courses for you. Our current programme includes popular courses such as “Fundraising Ideas” and “Writing Better Fundraising Applications”. Click here to find out more about all our forthcoming courses.
Funding Surgeries
We offer funding “surgeries” for small groups. These enable us to offer one-to-one support for small groups in their own area within accessible local community centres. Our current programme includes sessions at Castlehaven Community Centre, Queen’s Crescent Community Centre, Swiss Cottage Community Centre, Kentish Town Community Centre, Holborn Community Centre and Maiden Lane Community Centre. To find out more click here to get details of dates, and how to book your place and if you can’t find a surgery at a time or place that suits you, contact us to see if we can offer you your own one-to-one session some other time.
Fundraising Resources
Want to build your knowledge and expertise but not got the time to visit any of our courses or workshops? If so, you might want to visit our VAC library to browse the practical fundraising resources we have there, or why not download one of our worksheets or briefings. Click here for more information.
