Funding Sources
There are a number of ways we can help organisations find funding sources to meet their needs. These include:
Support to use online search engines
Regular Updates (Fundraising Calendar and Ebulletins)
We post news items about funding opportunities on our news page. Click here to find out the latest fundraising news. You can ensure you have the latest information on funding opportunities by bookmarking this page and checking regularly for updates. Here are our most popular downloads:
“Fundraising Calendar” - VAC’s Latest Fundraising Calendar (November/December2011)
“Funding & Awards” – Monthly Fundraising Newsletter from National Association for Voluntary and Community Action
“Capacity Building” E-bulletin” – funding update from Camden Council. (This also provides information on current tenders for services being advertised on the Council’s website.)
We mail out a regular VAC funding e-bulletin. If you’d like this to be sent direct to your inbox, email soyedele@vac.org.uk to subscribe.

Learn how to use online search engines more effectively
VAC can help you learn how to use a number of online search engines such as Grantfinder and FunderFinder Online. These databases can be a great way to find funders – particularly if you have a specific project in mind. You can use these without charge in our VAC library. However, to get the most out of your search, we strongly recommend one of our introductory workshops. At the workshop we will give you top tips that will improve your searching and save you lots of time in the long run. Our next Grantfinder workshop will take place in May (date and venue to be confirmed). Learn how to use this search engine to determine funders for your specific projects, and other useful facilities to inform your fundraising.
Groups might also find Grantnet useful. This is a free grant search portal, accessible at www.grantnet.com
