Target HR
This cross-borough human resources (HR) project was established towards the end of 2009 with the help of Big Lottery funding. It is a partnership project between VAC and the other Councils for Voluntary Service who are members of the Central London CVS Network. The aim of the project is to improve the HR policies, procedures, skills and knowledge of small voluntary and community organisations through offering in-depth, tailor-made support.
Activities
We recruit small organisations across the participating Central London boroughs and begin a process of one-to-one, customised support. Our particular focus is organisations who work with excluded communities and who may have found it difficult to access other sources of HR advice and support in the past.
We kickstart the work with a HR ‘health check’ and then we action plan with trustees and/or staff who commit to working with us to put in place any actions that will improve the organisation’s HR practice. Over time we also aim to develop a resource bank of accessible materials based on what is being learnt from the project – for instance web-based resources, templates and good practice briefings.
To apply for support from the project team, organisations can download an expression of interest form here – or, to find out more, contact us.
