Voluntary Sector Health Forum

Camden Voluntary Sector Health Forum aims to strengthen the contribution of the voluntary and community sector in the promotion of good health and accessible and relevant health and social care in Camden.

Membership is open to all voluntary and community sector groups in Camden with an interest in health and social care. Members of the Forum receive our bimonthly newsletter, are invited to attend meetings and focus groups and are regularly updated about the partnership meetings that members of the Forum attend.

In the past year we have continued to work on a number of different projects and issues. The development worker provided support to voluntary and community sector members of partnerships such as Camden Public Health Partnership, the Health and Social Services Advisory Group and Camden Local Strategic Partnership.

As part of this work the third annual "Health Priorities for the voluntary and community sector" report was produced, which is used by the voluntary and community sector members of these partnerships so they can put forward health and social care issues that are important to the sector.

We are currently developing more ways to support voluntary and community sector groups to be involved in the commissioning process in Camden.
