Your Chance to Influence Mental Health Service Provision in Camden.

The Mental Health Network (MHN), originally called the LIT Reference Group, has been set up to provide an opportunity for local voluntary and community organisations to express their concerns and discuss strategic issues around mental health service provision in Camden.

The Chair of the MHN is Maureen Brewster, Senior Development Worker (Health & Race) at Voluntary Action Camden. She is also one of the voluntary sector representatives on the Local Implementation Team (LIT).

The LIT is a partnership with representatives from service users, carers, statutory and non-statutory providers, clinicians and commissioners. It meets quarterly to discuss local mental health services and to ensure that the Government's key targets around mental health (known as the National Service Framework) are being met.

The aim of the Mental Health Network is to strengthen the voice of the voluntary sector on the LIT. Like the LIT, it will meet quarterly to discuss the strategic work of the LIT and any other concerns that attendees may have. Views expressed at this meeting will be taken to the LIT meetings by Maureen and discussed.
