Fundraising Support
VAC's fundraising support service can help you to acquire those much needed funds by giving small groups the support they need to develop a planned approach to fundraising.
There have been several recent improvements to our service:
- New "Grant Finder" software was recently added to our resources
- An email newsletter giving subscribers a monthly update of funding sources
- One-to-one grant application advice
- Funding seminars that provide opportunities to “Meet the Funder”
- Fundraising training sessions
- A whole range of publications on fundraising held in our library
- Funding 'surgeries', tailor-made support to the needs of your organisation.

Funding Surgeries at Community Centres
Funding advice sessions are being offered through out 2007 at various community centres to help hard-to-reach/ marginalised small groups within their neighbourhoods to develop their ideas or projects by accessing funding opportunities. Please follow this link for more information.
Sustainable Funding
Sustainable funding is a new concept for exploring diverse funding mix of income sources for voluntary community organisations. It is a principle for organisations to adopt a robust financial management and fundraising strategy, which will produce a balancing mix between 'asking for funds' through grants and 'earning income' through contracts and trading goods & services. VAC wants to encourage voluntary and community organisations to explore a whole range of issues around funding.

Grant Finder
VAC is trying out Grant Finder for a year. Unlike Funder Finder, which is limited to searching for only Trusts & Foundations, Grant Finder cuts across all the major sources of funding to produce a wide range of funding opportunities for your organisation. To book a session, or if you just want to have a look through Grantfinder, please contact Sarah (details below).
