JOB PURPOSE: To support and facilitate the voluntary and community sectors input into the health and adult social care agenda in Camden. To represent the views of the sector to a variety of bodies as agreed with the line manager. To work closely with the User & Community Involvement Team at LB Camden Adult Social Care Services. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES To take forward the key action points that emerge from the Direction of Travel Event on the 22nd September, focussing on meeting the needs of the sector to respond to the personalisation agenda and raising the awareness of this contribution with other sectors. To oversee the elections of the voluntary and community sector members to the HASSAG and to provide on going support to these members, liaising closely with Council colleagues. To action the work that comes from the HASSAG meetings. To organise and run a meeting of the Voluntary Sector Health Forum, in conjunction with the support of an Advisory Group. To support the formation of consortia and partnerships within the sector as appropriate. To represent the views of the sector to other partners. OTHER DUTIES To contribute to VACs role as a Council for Voluntary Services (CVS) by providing development support to groups and maintaining an awareness of Camdens voluntary and community sector and its requirements. Together with other members of the team to prepare material on important current issues and activities for publication in Voluntary Matters, VACs bi monthly newsletter, and in other relevant media, and for presentation at meetings and conferences. To keep records for the purpose of monitoring and evaluation and to contribute to the maintenance of VACs quality assurance system. To participate in supervision sessions, annual personal reviews and the strategic planning work of VAC To attend relevant training in order to fulfil the requirements of the job.
